Silly Sayings

On Friday, after we went to daily mass, all of the other families were going to the park, so naturally the girls wanted to go, too. But, since it was our anniversary and Doyle was with us and didn't really want to go visit with a bunch of mommies, we said we couldn't go. Thoroughly disappointed, the girls asked, "Why?"

I said, "Let's go another time when we don't have our stinky ol' daddy with us."

After contemplating this for a few minutes, Lydia said, "Can we go home so daddy can take a shower, and then go to the park?"

That's my logical thinker!

Boo

When Ava was two she absolutely loved the Disney movie Monsters, Inc, in fact she still does. So, on one of our many trips to the Disney store at the mall we saw a little stuffed Boo doll and she just had to have it!

Fast forward a year and a half, and we have rearranged toys, moved into a new house and seemingly forgotten all about that beloved little toy. Last week out of the blue, Ava asks me, "Mommy, where's my boo?" I think really hard to myself...."I don't know, honey. We can look in some boxes in the garage and see if we can find it." Well, I looked all around and couldn't find it. She was heartbroken. When I told my husband about this, he said it's probably in the attic. So, when he came through the door with her ragged old Boo doll, Ava lit up like it was Christmas morning! Daddy was her hero! She thanked him probably ten times throughout the night for getting her Boo.

Now, she takes her everywhere!

Silly Sayings

I'm trying to keep up with all of the adorable things the kids are saying in this sweet time of life. On Saturday, I was cleaning up the girls room, trying to organize the bookoos of toys when I came across tons of crumbs in their toy box. So, I asked if someone could get me the vacuum to clean them up. A few minutes later, Ava comes back dragging the vacuum with all her might saying, "Mommy, I got the backroom for you!"

I couldn't help but laugh! What a great helper!

Future Careers

When asked randomly what they want to be when they grow up, the girls each answered a surprising response. Lydia said that she wants to be a worker at Subway, and Ava said that she wants to be a waitor at a pizza place. My response was, "Whatever you want, sweetie," knowing that it will probably change 100 more times between now and the time that they do in fact get a job.

What does this say about us? We sure do love our pizza and Subway!

I wonder what the next career phase will be?

Tippy Toes

The girls went to their first ballet class ever yesterday. It was so cute to see them in their little leotards listening so intently to their teacher! Our awesome public library offers free ballet classes every Friday for kids of all ages. It was perfect because Ava, who is little miss personality, kept coming in and out of the class to talk to me. But, since the class was free, I didn't worry about it too much! Of course, Lydia stayed in the class and followed the directions to a T. And, I was trying to entertain Matthew out in the hall, because naturally as a boy who is almost two, he did not want to sit still and watch his sisters. In fact, he really wanted to join the class...He probably would have just hung on the ballet bars!
